GTA VI Could Take Up Nearly 200 GB on SSD

Dmitro O

With just over six months until the release of Grand Theft Auto VI on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, PC players will once again have to wait longer, as Rockstar traditionally prioritizes console versions.

According to insider reports, installing GTA VI may require around 200 GB of free SSD space. This is significantly larger than the studio’s previous hits: GTA V takes up about 95 GB, while Red Dead Redemption 2 requires up to 150 GB. Given the massive scale of Leonida and the high level of detail, such a file size seems entirely plausible.

Still, these figures should be treated with caution. Development is ongoing, and the final install size may change. Rockstar Games is expected to release official system requirements closer to launch.
