Hozy is scheduled for PlayStation 5 on November 9, 2026. The publisher’s PlayStation Blog announcement highlights DualSense haptics, adaptive triggers and controller-speaker audio.
What is already established
Steam identifies Come On Studio as the developer and tinyBuild as publisher, with the PC release dated March 30, 2026. Its description centres on cleaning, painting and furnishing neglected homes.
The PlayStation Store listing specifies single-player, offline play and Remote Play. It also lists photo mode, New Game Plus and Sandbox. At our check, its date remained a placeholder; the launch date above comes from the newer announcement.
Editorial analysis: the important test is consistency
A game built around ordinary physical tasks has a demanding problem to solve. The same gesture must remain legible and pleasant after the novelty disappears. A spectacular first minute matters less than whether the tenth small adjustment feels deliberate. For this kind of console release, we would put input consistency ahead of the number of effects advertised on the box.
Haptics can be useful when they communicate a meaningful change: contact, resistance or completion. They become less useful if every interaction competes for attention. That distinction is something a launch announcement cannot settle. We would want to test the final PS5 build both with controller effects enabled and with a quieter setup before deciding how much they add.
How we would evaluate a living-room version
Precision should be the first practical check. Can a player select a small object without fighting nearby objects? Can they make a modest adjustment without overshooting? Is it easy to recover from an accidental input? These are review questions, not reports of problems we have encountered. We have not tested the PS5 version.
Readability deserves the same attention. A menu that looks clear close to a monitor can be uncomfortable from a sofa. Text size, contrast and the visibility of selected items should be judged at a realistic viewing distance. A calm visual style alone cannot establish that an interface will be comfortable for every player.
We would also examine the stopping points. A satisfying short session needs a clear sense of progress and a reliable way to return later. Before recommending the game for a brief evening break, we would check how saving, resuming and unfinished work behave in practice.
What to check before buying
For now, keep purchase decisions tied to your regional PS Store page. Confirm the local price, language options and release availability there. We have not verified a PS5 frame-rate target, resolution, download size or complete language list, and PC specifications should not be treated as answers to those console questions.
Our position before release is straightforward: the premise makes the console version worth watching, but an announcement is not a performance test or a review. The useful next step is to see whether the final controls and presentation remain comfortable through an ordinary play session.
